Born and raised in Minnesota, B. C. Peterschmidt’s life in illustration has been encouraged since a very young age. She now lives in Brooklyn, NY as an illustrator with her parrotlet (a tiny dinosaur, honestly). Peterschmidt began her career as a freelance illustrator in 2011 with the successful Kickstarter game the Miskatonic School for Girls. She has since gone on to illustrate book covers starting with Diana Wynne Jones’s The Island of Cheldea, and Naomi Shihab Nye’s The Turtle of Oman. Her sequential art can be seen in Marvel’s New York Times Bestselling anthology Out of the Past for the ever popular TV show Once Upon a Time, in addition to Bestselling author Frank Beddor’s Hatter Madigan series.
